I’ve just reviewed The Rooms Hotel in Kingaroy, Central Queensland, and I’m quite impressed. Initially, I was a bit concerned about the compact layout, but the hotel turned out to be interesting and somewhat funky. The room features a modern kitchen, a nice sink, and little touches like complimentary coffee, which I really liked. It’s very clean, although there’s no view.

The room includes a big TV, a large bed, and necessary air conditioning. The bathroom is spacious, with a variety of amenities. I was skeptical at first due to the hotel’s compact nature, but I’m impressed by the thoughtful design and the convenience it offers, such as a hairdryer and shelving.

One of the highlights for me is the hotel’s location – it’s close to major shopping centers like Woolworths and Aldi, and there’s a pub just a short distance away. The attention to detail, like the toiletry packs, really stood out to me. I was pleasantly surprised by additional amenities like a teapot and Wi-Fi. A minor issue I found was with blinds that were hard to reach, but overall, I’m very satisfied with the hotel’s cleanliness and functionality.

I appreciate how they’ve managed the space efficiently and the strategic location near major highways, although I would recommend asking for a room away from the highway noise. The hotel’s restaurant was closed for renovations during my visit, but I take that as a positive sign of ongoing maintenance and improvement.

As a professional mystery shopper, I have to say this hotel is one of the best country hotels I’ve stayed in across Australia. Its meticulous attention to detail and functionality really impressed me. It’s definitely a top recommendation from me.
